A Monthly Exploration and Inquiry into Sufficiency

Each month Seven Stones hosts a free community call on a topic related to sufficiency. Though each topic is distinct, the format is often very similar: inquiry-based, break-outs for small group sharing (thanks to Maestro Conference!), and emergent. Our intention is to co-create community and invent new tools together in our shared commitment to live inside exquisite sufficiency.

Completion & Creation: Transitioning to the New Year within our Sufficiency

Make a powerful ending for a new powerful beginning in this Completion & Creation call. Each December, Seven Stones offers a process to the community to complete the year: using the principals and practices of exquisite sufficiency such as telling the truth about what happened and didn’t happen in 2011, successes and let-downs, any associations that are called to be celebrated or mourned, and distinguishing actions to be taken before the year’s end. We do this unto itself, for the sake of peace, as well as to make space for a new future in the upcoming year. Then, we create 2012 with as wide and clear of a canvas as possible.

Thanks-giving: Living into Sufficiency as the holidays approach

The holiday season is a rich – and sometimes challenging! – time to practice standing in exquisite enoughness. There is so much to be grateful for, and yet, it can also be a season when scarcity may grip and hold on tightly. We explored where we may fall into patterns based in not enough and look together at a few basic questions that can shift our attention towards our practice of sufficiency.

Sufficiency Consumerism

This months community call we inquired into how we cannot participate in society and avoid being a consumer, and can we greatly impact our experience of buying anything if we are grounded in sufficiency.  We are asking ourselves: can I buy anything and still live inside of sufficiency? Is sufficiency possible in an age of consumerism?
