Organizational Consultant, Leadership Consultant & Facilitator
Aviva Luz Argote’s work at Seven Stones Leadership focuses on designing spaces for authentic leadership and fostering life-nourishing personal and organizational practices. Growing up in a bilingual and multicultural family in New York City, Aviva developed a unique perspective that informs her approach to leadership and strategy.
As an independent consultant, Aviva has partnered with nonprofit, government, philanthropic, and corporate entities to enhance their leadership, adaptive strategy, and equitable workplace culture. She served as Vice President and Faculty Director at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, where she created a justice-centered nonprofit leadership curriculum and coached the management faculty team. Her previous roles include directing Harvard University’s Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations, managing global civil society research teams, and teaching courses on nonprofit finance and fundraising. She has also worked with the Harvard University Budget Office, the Rand Corporation, Los Angeles County, and Coro New York Leadership Center.
Aviva completed Margaret Wheatley’s three year program Warriors for the Human Spirit in 2017. She has actively engaged as a participant and team resource in the Carol Sanford Institute’s Change Agent Development and Regenerative Business Development communities since 2018. She has been an on-going member of the Re-Seeding the Future Community Program since its inception in 2020. Aviva serves on the Board of Directors at the Post Growth Institute and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Vermont in the Leadership for Sustainability program. She holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA from Pomona College. Aviva resides in Cambridge, MA, where she builds community and facilitates nature-connected learning for her two children.
